The first piece in my 3D canvas art series, with “Gum is Fum” I aimed to capture a classic silhouette in motion, doing every day sneaker things. I envisioned this Jordan 1 Chicago 2013 as a daily beater, stepping its way through a bustling avenue in the concrete jungle, when suddenly … gum. This work is a snapshot of that very moment. I embraced this technique to create 3D effect, to breathe life into a two dimensional space.
